Project "Promoting the development of the border regions of southern Khatlon"

Since August 2024, the Public organization “Bonuvoni Fardo” of Khatlon region implements the project “Assistance to the development of the border regions of southern Khatlon". The project is being carried out on the territory of the border areas: Shahritus, Kubodien and Nosir Khusrav for a period of 12 months.

The project is aimed at promoting the development of the border areas of southern Khatlon and improving their quality of life.

Within the framework of this project, there will be:

- A Business education Center has been established and the level of knowledge of 50 women and youth of migrant families in entrepreneurial skills has been increased.

- Consulting assistance was provided to more than 300 people of the population and support in the creation of 10 own businesses for women and youth from 3 districts.

- A network of CSOs "South Khatlon" has been established to cooperate and enhance the capacity of CSOs through training and 3 meetings to discuss migration and cross-border areas.

- The public's attention was attracted through the publication of posts on social networks and articles in the newspaper.

This project is funded by the European Union under the BOMCA 10 grant scheme. The BOMCA 10 program is implemented by a consortium of border management agencies of certain member States of the European Union and the International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) headed by the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia.
