The public organization “Bonuvoni Fardo” of Khatlon region held a round table on the results of the organization’s activities for 2023. This meeting took place within the framework of the project “Women’s Access to Land”, with funding from the feminist foundation Mama Cash. Representatives of the Khukumat, jamoats, public organizations, women leaders of the Shahritus district and members of the organization took part in the round table. The event was productive; the participants were informed about the results of the organization’s activities for 2023.
In the past year, NGO Bonuvoni Fardo implemented 6 projects, such as:
- Project “Increasing the capacity of employees of the NGO “Bonuvoni Fardo”, supported by UN WOMEN/Spotlight;
- Project "Protection of Women's Rights", supported by UAF;
- Project “Creation of legal assistance centers and a network of local activists”, supported by DAI GLOBAL/USAID;
- Project "Information campaign on targeted social aid", supported by ACTED;
- Project "Women's Rights in Labor", supported by ICNL;
- Project "Women's Access to Land", supported by Mama Cash.
and, as part of these projects, conducted a number of events, round tables, information meetings, legal consultations, focus groups aimed at increasing the level of knowledge of rural women about their rights, increasing their status in society and preventing gender-based violence.
We were also active on social networks, posted a lot of interesting material and published many feature articles and videos in the media. Issued information sheets and other materials aimed at raising public awareness.
The result of our activities is consulted beneficiaries, lobbying for women's rights in local authorities and self-government, and successfully obtained certificates of land use rights.
The round table was timed to coincide with the information campaign "16 days of activism against gender-based violence."
There is no justification for violence! Let's not stand by and end violence against women and girls in Tajikistan.
