Access to land for women is of great importance not only from an economic point of view, but also from the standpoint of social justice and equal opportunities. When women have guaranteed access to land, they become independent, provide for their subsistence and support their families. If women can own land and participate in agriculture, it helps to raise their status and gives them the opportunity to influence decision-making in the family and community.
In this regard, the Public organization "Bonuvoni Fardo" of Khatlon region implements the activities of the project "Women's Access to Land", supported by the feminist fund Mama Cash, to increase and stimulate women's access to land.
As part of the project, monthly trainings are actively held for women, where discussions are held about their role in society, the participation of women in the management and decision-making process, the equality of men and women and the possibilities of obtaining a certificate of land use rights.
Along with trainings and consulting assistance for women in Shahritus, Qubodiyon and Nosir Khusrav regions, the team does a lot of work with local executive bodies of government and conducts trainings with them, and also changes their attitude towards rural women and girls through mechanisms of lobbying for rights and interests.
