"Women's rights at labor: round tables in search of solutions"

In June 2023, 2 roundtables were held on the topic "Women's Rights in Labor", organized by the public organization "Bonuvoni Fardo" as part of a USAID supported project under the Legal Support Program ICNL. The event was attended by representatives of local Hukumats and jamoats, women activists, leaders and members of dekhkan farms.

Participants discussed the problems and challenges that women face in the labor market, such as unequal pay, lack of guaranteed maternity leave and childcare benefits, lack of employment contracts and books, and discrimination in the workplace. It was noted that women face difficulties in exercising their rights to equal opportunities and access to jobs with decent pay.

Participants also discussed measures that could be taken to improve the situation. This includes the introduction of anti-discrimination legislation and equal pay for equal work, as well as raising awareness of the rights and opportunities available to women.

The roundtables ended with a call for fair cooperation between employers and employees and took into account all the recommendations of the participants in order to implement effective measures and policies that would guarantee equal rights for women in the workplace. Our organization hopes that such events will help create a fairer and more equitable work environment for women.
