We would like to inform you that within the framework of the "Women's Rights at Labor" project supported by USAID under the Legal Support Programn ICNL, PO "Bonuvoni Fardo" of Khatlon Region held round tables on May 29 and 31 in Nosiri Khusrav and Shahritu districts. The participants of the round tables were very active and discussed various problems of women at labor, about laws governing labor relations, about laws that restrict women's opportunities to participate in the labor market, putting them in a disadvantageous position. Also at the round tables they talked about the law “On Equality and Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination”, discussed the ILO Convention and other legislative acts and state programs, in particular “On Equal Rights and Opportunities for Men and Women in the Republic of Tajikistan”. Women learned about their rights in the labor, about ways to resolve contentious issues in the workplace and gave more than 17 recommendations to managers and decision makers about improving the status of women in labor, about equal pay for men and women.
